Location was the appropriate one, close to the Las Canteras beach and down town center for safe and short promenades along the beach during the night. Staff was helpful and understanding all the time.

A lovely experience

I loved everything about my stay there. Right from the outset, the staff were welcoming and helpful. They arranged for me to have a private taxi pickup, which is exactly what I needed after a 28-hour flight, and they were lovely when I arrived. The staff, in particular, Amber, even gave me tips for my stay in Gran Canaria, including great places to eat and events that were happening—and even a recommendation for a great hairdresser! The breakfast was terrific, and so was the chef—he was a lovely man. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Gran Canaria.

I thought everything was perfect.

A place worth visiting

It is in a good location and the interior is stylish and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was not up to the same standard apart from the tasty Spanish omelette.

One negative was the pillows. Very cheap and uncomfortable. Bed itself was great.

Excellent hotel, can't fault it in anyway & would highly recommend staying here.

Hotel MG Poniente is an excellent hotel from my recent experience. The hotel is newly refurbished & is very well maintained with comfortable rooms. It is a quiet hotel & I didn't hear any street noise. Breakfast was good & everywhere is spotlessly clean The hotel is a one minute walk from the beach & good seafront restaurants. I can highly recommend this hotel for any stay. It's a small hotel & that's part of its charm as there is attention to detail from the staff. Amber & all the staff members including the guy who helped serve breakfast & the cleaning staff were all so lovely, & couldn't have been any more helpful. Highly recommend Hotel MG Poniente for a stay.

Excellent hotel and helpful friendly staff

This is an excellent hotel with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. It is an excellent location only a few blocks from Playa las Canteras and its relaxing promenade - it has been opened for a little over a year and is very modern. The buffet breakfast provided for all that we required, and the attendant was good enough to cook us some fresh omelettes each morning.

This is more a recommendation than a criticism - given the modernity of the hotel, a small Nespresso machine in each room would be a nice touch. I know they are planning something like this for the common/lounge area adjacent to the breakfast area.

Wonderful

Like many reviews have already said, the staff are what make this such a pleasant stay. From brief conversations with Mike (Miguel) and Amber at reception, to the smiling chef at breakfast. It's also a short walk to the beach and bus station, so the location is great.

My room didn't have much natural light, but I can appreciate why it was designed that way.

Las Palmas beach stay

The room was comfortable, clean, functional and the furniture new. The position is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The building is modern and well designed. Breakfast is essential but appreciated. The best feature of this hotel is the staff, everyone always smiling and super nice: reception, the person managing breakfast and the cleaning ladies.

Exceptional

Everything was really new, clean and bright. Lovely staff especially Guillermo who was friendly face to see each morning at breakfast! Would happily recommend this restaurant.

There wasn’t much of an atmosphere. It was fully booked but much of time it felt like I was one of only 3 or so groups/couples. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a note.
